In recognition of the National Recreation and Park Association’s Family Health and Fitness Day 2019, families of Syracuse City Schools and the Syracuse City community are invited to Come Out and Play! This event is being held on Saturday, June 8th from 11 AM to 1 PM. Come out and try FREE fitness classes such as Yoga, Zumba, African Dance and Strength, take a group walk along the Monday Mile route, or a run through Burnet’s Obstacle Challenge Course; find out more about free, upcoming Summer Lunch and Summer Recreation Programs in Syracuse. At noon, take part in a National Family Health and Fitness Day Challenge… “Get Fit” with Parks and Recreation by doing 1-minute of Jumping Jacks (regular or modified) TOGETHER! There will also be health information provided by the Onondaga County Health Department, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the Downtown YMCA.
Hope to see you there!
